The Science Behind Vespera Wellness
Every formula we sell is built on bioavailable ingredient forms, full-dose transparency, and claims we can actually point to a source for. You deserve to know exactly what is in the capsule — including the parts that are less flattering than the usual marketing copy.
Our Ingredient Philosophy
We pay for the chelated, standardised and activated forms of each nutrient rather than the cheapest available. They cost several times more per kilogram, and they are the reason the number on the label means something. Every active ingredient is printed with its exact amount — no proprietary blends.
Key Ingredients
Ashwagandha
A full-spectrum root extract standardised to 5% withanolides, at 600 mg per daily dose — the level used in placebo-controlled trials rather than a token amount behind a blend. Standardisation matters: without it, a milligram figure tells you the weight of the powder, not how much active compound is in it.
Ashwagandha has traditional use and a substantial research literature, but no approved EFSA health claim. So we will describe what it is and how it is dosed, and stop there.
Magnesium Bisglycinate
Magnesium chelated to the amino acid glycine, which absorbs through a different gut pathway than magnesium oxide and is gentle enough to take nightly without the digestive upset cheaper forms cause. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, normal functioning of the nervous system, and a reduction of tiredness and fatigue — all approved EFSA claims.
Vitamin D3 + K2 (MK-7)
Paired deliberately: vitamin D3 contributes to the normal absorption of calcium, and vitamin K2 contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Both are approved EFSA claims. D3 is the nutrient most Northern-European diets genuinely lack between October and March.
Collagen & Omega-3
Our collagen is 100% collagen hydrolysate in Type I and Type III peptides — one ingredient, no fillers, no flavouring. Collagen carries no approved EFSA health claim, so the case for it rests on the protein itself rather than on a promise we are not permitted to make.
Our omega-3 is fish oil providing 360 mg EPA and 540 mg DHA per daily dose, stabilised with vitamin E. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function at 250 mg per day — an approved claim this comfortably exceeds. Please note this product contains fish and uses a bovine gelatin capsule shell; it is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
Coenzyme Q10
Included in our Daily Vitality Multivitamin and Cellular Defence Antioxidant Complex as ubiquinone, the standard oxidised form of CoQ10, which the body converts to its active form.
